Addressing the long march participants at D-Chowk on Islamabad’s Jinnah Avenue in front of the Parliament House, he termed his address as Islamabad declaration saying the declaration has seven points. He says this parliament has no more right to rule. Article 218 says that democratic process should be free and fare from corrupt practices, but it never implemented, says Qadri.
He says the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has not been made independent and autonomous. The TMQ leader says only two institution are performing their duties in the country one is the judiciary and second is armed forces. “70 percent of the members of the parliament do not pay their taxes.”
Speaking to foreigners Dr. Tahir ul Qadri said, “My brother and sister belonging to foreign world I want to declare reality on behalf of the millions of people who come up with me in this march.”
Dr. Qadri said, “This march is a constitutional democratic march; we are here in front of the Parliament House just to safe Pakistan from collapse and complete ruin; we want change and reform.”
He further said, “No law has been made to alleviate the poverty; to eradicate terrorism, to increase the law and order situation, for the development of social sector, no insurance for health, no education, no human rights, no economic growth, no human rights,” adding that, ” No electricity; no gas; no job, no health, no house, no food to eat; hence, people have been deprive of basic necessities of life.”
Criticizing the present government Dr. Tahirul Qadri said,” This is the priority of the parliamentary process; their priority is the corruption; looting the country.”
He said that this march is a constitutional democratic march; we are here in front of the Parliament House to safe Pakistan from collapse and complete ruin. “We want change and reform, we are here for uplift of democracy if we were here for chaos we would have conquered the assemblies within an hour.”
He further said that no law has been made to alleviate the poverty; to eradicate terrorism, to increase the law and order situation, for the development of social sector, no insurance for health, no education, no human rights, no economic growth and no human rights. People have been deprive of basic necessities
This parliament is not democratic parliament; the political parties of a country are not in a position to rule. “We want democracy through guaranteed protection of human rights; through empowerment of the people; through the principles of accountability”, he said.
