Kevin Doo and Julien Zhu capture gold medals – 2012 CeraVe Invitational

Kevin Doo and Julien Zhu captured gold medals of the Men’s 200m freestyle and Women’s 200m butterfly  13-14 year olds category on first day of the 2012 CeraVe Invitational at Berkeley Aquatic Club.

Doo remained stayed half body length ahead of his closest swimmer and stepped on the victory stand for gold medal by touching the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 03.78 seconds.

The champion was traced by Dylan Vanmanen, who stayed 0.75 seconds behind and transpired on the finishing end for silver medal by clocking an effort of 2 minutes and 04.53 seconds.

Third position of the event was trailed by Connor Doyle, who trailed 1.02 seconds away from upsetting his preceding finisher and reached the wall for bronze medal with an effort of 2 minutes and 05.55 seconds.

The third position holder was chased by Justin Torres, who stayed 0.99 seconds away from his former finisher and settled on the wall for fourth position by clocking a time of 2 minutes and 06.54 seconds.

Torres was traced by Jack McIntyre, who was one and a half body length slower and surfaced on the wall for fifth position by clocking a time of 2 minutes and 07.92 seconds.

On the other hand, Zhu seized the title of 200m butterfly.  She stayed in a considerable lead over her challengers and stepped on the finishing end for gold medal by touching the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 24.55 seconds.

The gold medallist was traced by Giorgia Piantanida, who was almost 7.50 seconds slower and stepped on the finishing wall for silver medal by submitting a time of 2 minutes and 32.08 seconds.

The silver medallist was chased by Ann Mulvenna, who stayed 0.54 seconds slower from her former finisher and stepped on the wall for bronze medal with an effort of 2 minutes and 32.62 seconds.

Fourth fastest spot of the event was secured by Cat Alabanza, who remained 0.34 seconds away from her preceding swimmer and surfaced on the finishing end by clocking an effort of 2 minutes and 32.96 seconds.

Furthermore, the winners received medals and accolades after the session.
