We want to win the President’s Cup – Adil

The winger reiterated that KRL will be looking for glory in the AFC President’s Cup after winning the Pakistan Premier League, something which could also help him bolster his career.

With an eye for goal and ability to drift past defenders, Muhammad Adil is rated as one of the finest young players in the country and as such the attacker has some lofty aspirations after claiming to be impressed by Roberto Carlos’ style of play.

“My favourite players are Roberto Carlos and Carlos Tevez. And I’m proud to play for Pakistan’s ‘Real Madrid’. Opponent teams compare us to Real and Barca as we score a lot of goals,” said the Green Shirts regular while talking to reporters.

Adil also revealed that he held talks with a possible move to Palestine, but nothing concrete happened and now he was hoping to make an impact in Asia with PPL champions KRL.

“I had an offer from a Palestinian club but nothing materialised in the end and now I’m hoping I get more offers from abroad,” he added.

“Once you play in a continental event, you have a greater chance of being noticed. And if we come back with the trophy, it would give us the platform to launch our careers forward,” Adil was quoted as saying to the media.
