Connor Doyle and Kevin Doo win gold medals – 2012 CeraVe Invitational

Connor Doyle and Kevin Doo won gold medals of the Men’s 100m freestyle and 200m butterfly in 13-14 year olds Men’s category on day two of the 2012 CeraVe Invitational at Berkeley Aquatic Club.

His commendable pace placed him a body length ahead of his competitors as he touched the wall with an effort of 57.91 seconds.

The champion was chased by David Hua, who stayed 0.81 seconds away from his opponent and touched the wall for silver medal with an effort of 58.72 seconds.

Third position of the event was secured by Eric Wong, who was 0.21 seconds behind and concluded his race in third place by reporting an effort of 58.93 seconds.

The third position holder was followed by Kevin Doo, who was 0.08 seconds slower and clocked an effort of 59.01 seconds for fourth place.

Fifth best spot of the race was obtained by Justin Torres, who was only 0.11 seconds slower from his former finisher and sprinted his way towards the finishing end by posting an effort of 59.12 seconds.

On the other hand, Doo occupied gold medal of the 200m butterfly. He remained almost eight seconds faster from his closest swimmer and clocked a time of 2 minutes and 12.39 seconds for the title .

The gold medallist was traced by Justin Torres, who remained 7.95 seconds apart and surfaced on the wall for silver medal by clocking an effort of 2 minutes and 20.34 seconds.

The silver medallist was chased by Chris Balbo, who stayed 0.33 seconds behind and stepped on the victory stand for bronze medal with the timing of 2 minutes and 20.67 seconds.

Fourth best spot of the race was obtained by Sriniram Narasimhan, who was almost two and a half body length slower and reached the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 23.98 seconds.

In addition, the arena applauded for notable efforts of all participants in their respective events while the position holders received medals and accolades after the session.
