Guardiola missed football

Former Barcelona FC head coach Pep Guardiola has accepted that he missed the game after reports came that he will be Bayern Munich’s next trainer at the end of the current campaign. He resigned from the Barca post at the end of last season and took a one-year break from football.
The former defensive midfielder moved to United States of America after that, and despite being not too concerned about the happenings of the football world, he is excited to return to the coaching role.
Pep claimed that he missed the pressure surrounding the managerial job. He stated that he loves how to change tactics, how you defeat the rival team, selecting the players to try and claim a victory.
“I’ve missed the game itself. All the stuff that surrounds it, not so much. But I have missed [figuring out] the way a certain team plays and how you can beat them, deciding on which players to select to try and win a match,” Guardiola added.
“For me at least, that’s the only reason I’m in this game. If it wasn’t for that,” he mused.
“Everything else, well, they’re not things that I have a constant need for. I can live perfectly well without them. In fact I’d say you can have a much better life without them. But the game itself, that’s what draws you in,” the former midfielder finally concluded.
Guardiola said that other things apart from football do not worry him much. However, he suggested that he has a great passion for football and cannot live without it. Moreover, he suggested that Barca should win the Spanish title after an amazing start to the season.
