Seattle Mariners starter Felix Hernandez potentially seeks fresh six-year deal

Starting pitcher Felix Hernandez is potentially seeking a new sex-year deal with the Seattle Mariners. Felix is a hardworking player and played his entire career in the Mariners.
In the recent past Major League Baseball season, Hernandez played wonderfully for the Mariners and showed his match winning skills. He won 13 and lost nine with a consistent ERA of 3.06.
He also struck out 223 batters along with a good and consistent WHIP of 1.14. Overall his seven-year career in the Major League has brought him among the top starters of the MLB. He currently carries career 3.22 ERA along with 98-76 win-loss, 1487 strikeouts and 1.21 WHIP.
Meanwhile, the Mariners’ top management is doing everything regarding keeping some of the experienced talent. They all now that how these experienced players could benefit the franchise.
“In regard to how we see our future and where we see ourselves at right now, we feel like we’re in a very, very good place,” manager Eric Wedge said at the team’s annual pre-spring training luncheon.
He added, “I get questions often in regard to the timetable of us being a championship team. The only thing I can tell you is that we’ll be better and we’ll continue to get better as we have the last couple of years, and at some point in time we will be a championship team.”
“If you look at the veterans we had in our clubhouse last year versus to the veterans we have in the clubhouse this year, it’s night and day,” he said.
Not only Mariners manager Eric Wedge is optimistic for their experienced players and retaining them, but Mariners general manager Jack Zduriencik is also agree that Seattle side should bring some new strategies which could ensure experienced players’ prominent presence in the franchise.
