Pizza Bharali beats Shaleni Y. in qualifying round of All India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament

India’s upcoming female shuttler Pizza Bharali continued her winning run in the arena as she toppled Shaleni Y. in Women’s Singles qualifying round of ONGC All India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament 2013 in Bangalore, on Wednesday, January 30.

The aggressive Bharali, who remained confident on court, played with impressive speed while playing against Shaleni and easily wrapped up a convincing victory by taking just 32 minutes of the court time.

Bharali found a wonderful start showing her aggression in the arena and she did not let her challenger to dominate the pace of rallies. She finished off this qualifying round clash in straight games with a reasonable margin of 21-17 and 21-15.

Shaleni, on the contrary, failed to elevate her game at the crucial stages as she could not deal with the mounting pressure and eventually lost the match without winning any set against her country-mate.

Bharali showed an amazing aggression on court from the starting rallies of first game by creating a remarkable pressure on her rival.

The top class skills and remarkable game plan assisted Bharali to keeps her challenger in all sorts of problem in the arena. Until the mid-game interval, the lofty Bharali was leading the game with a wonderful difference.

The confused Shaleni failed to play positive game after the one-minute break as she lost her focus on court and remained struggling against her in-form challenger.

It was an uninterrupted ride for the aggressive Bharali who did not face any reasonable fight from her rival and won the first set with a reasonable 21-17 margin on the board.

In the second set of this Women’s Singles qualifying round battle, Bharali played with superb speed without sparing any opportunity for Shaleni to get a good flow.

Until the end of first part in the second game, the incredible Bharali remained consistent in playing with command and variations and stayed ahead on the board.

Shaleni failed to show strong performance in the second game of this contest as her rival Bharali played positive badminton and wrapped up the game with a comfortable 21-15 score on the board.
