Nyl Yakura crushes Matthew Chan to surge into semi-final of Canadian National Championships

The impressive Yakura, who is the third seeded player in the main draw of the tournament, showed his lofty skills in the arena and he easily registered a comprehensive victory against his lower ranked compatriot while consuming just 30 minutes in the arena.
Yakura did not show any sign of pressure while playing against his un-seeded opponent. He remained fully focused throughout the battle and managed to wind it up in straight sets with a smashing 21-13 and 21-8 score on the board.
On the contrary, the un-seeded Matthew tried to give a good fight in starting rallies but failed to continue his positive play. He committed many un-forced errors in the arena and eventually lost this quarter-final battle without winning any game.
In the starting game, the aggressive Yakura delivered an unmatched show on court as he played shots with deception from opening rallies.
The skills and tricky game plan helped Yakura to put his rival in all sorts of problem on court. Until the mid-game break, the aggressive Yakura managed a comfortable margin.
The confused Matthew failed to play positive badminton in the concluding part of the opening game as he could not match the speed of his rival and remained struggling.
Yakura did not slow down the pace of the game at any stage and comfortably clinched the first set with a stunning 21-13 difference on the board.
Things were similar in the second game of this quarter-final contest as Yakura continued playing in the similar aggressive manner and remained in complete control of rallies.
Until the one-minute break, the impressive Yakura remained consistent in playing with command and variations and remained ahead on the board.
Yakura continued putting up reasonable show in the concluding part of second set and remained successful in winning the set with a one-sided 21-8 score on score board.
In the Men’s Singles semi-final battle of this tournament, the in-form Yakura will lock horns against the top seed Alex Pang who won his quarter-final fight against the un-seeded Alvin Lau in a controlled manner.
