Religious leaders, educational institutions, media enjoy high trust

According to survey conducted by Gallup Pakistan, a total of 74 percent expressed their trust on religious leaders.
The educational institutions enjoy 67 percent and the media 66 percent.
The survey was carried out among a sample of 2644 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country during a period of one week.
In a survey, a nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “These are some of the major institutions in Pakistan and what extent they trust these institutions?”
The findings of the survey suggest that NGOs are the least trusted sector with only 45% of people saying that they had high trust in NGOs, whereas 47% replied they did not.
Religious leaders were the most trusted with 74% people saying that they trusted them and only 22% stating mistrust.
Educational Institutions were the second most trusted category with 67% people saying they trusted them and 27% replying in the negative.
The results also indicated that the institution of Media has high trust with 66% of respondents saying they trust the media and only 29% saying they don’t.
