Petr Koukal hammers Matej Hlinican in Men’s Singles encounter at European Mixed Team Championships

Czech Republic’s Petr Koukal created a strong impact by playing top quality badminton in Men’s Singles battle when he brushed aside Slovakia’s Matej Hlinican at the European Mixed Team Championships 2013 in Russia, on Wednesday, February 13.

Koukal has been working really hard to elevate his skills and he showed a remarkable improvement in his game. He played with complete control in his shots and remained successful in winning the match in a lopsided manner in just 23 minutes.

The in-form Koukal was on a different level as he did not let his Slovak rival to get close on the board at any stage in the whole battle and remained successful in winding up this Men’s Singles battle in a one-sided manner with a stunning total of 21-11 and 21-4.

Meanwhile, Hlinican was completely helpless against the power play and aggression of his in-form challenger. He could not break the flow of Koukal at any stage throughout the battle and eventually knelt down with a humiliating score on the board.

In the first set, the in-form Koukal delivered a staggering feat in the arena as he played shots with dictating control from initial points.

The phenomenal variations and hard-to-match speed of Koukal helped him to continue his domination over the pace of the game.

Koukal proceeded with a terrific speed in the first part and stayed ahead on the board until the one-minute interval.

The underdog Hlinican failed to create trouble for his rival after the mid-game interval as he lost his focus in the arena.

The positive and aggressive play of Koukal assisted him to claim the opening game with an inspiring margin of 21-11.

Hlinican was once again in all sorts of trouble in the second set as he received a severe treatment from his challenger who was flawless in the arena.

The cracking smashes and net killings kept Koukal ahead of his challenger all the way until the end of first part in second set.

In the concluding part of second game, the incredible Koukal continued his comfortable ride and easily clinched the set with an incredible 21-4 total on the score board.
