Eugene Godsoe and Jenna Strauch occupy gold medals – Austin Grand Prix

Eugene Godsoe and Jenna Strauch occupied gold medals of the Men’s 100m butterfly and Women ‘s 200m breaststroke respectively on day one of the 2013 Austin Grand Prix.

With his notable pace, he stayed only an inch faster from his closest competitor and tapped the wall for gold medal with a timing of 53.54 seconds.

His notable pace was 0.03 seconds ahead of Bobby Bollier, who followed him on the finishing end for silver medal by producing a time of 53.57 seconds.

The second position holder was followed by Dan Madwed, who experienced a loss of 0.20 seconds from his foregoing finisher and completed the podium by posting an effort of 53.77 seconds.

Madwed was traced by Ryan Lochte, who was nearly half a second slower from his foregoing finisher and tapped the wall with the timing of 54.14 seconds.

Fifth nest spot of the swim was secured by Ramir Ramirez Juarez, who stayed more than a body length behind and hit the finishing end with the timing of 55.20 seconds.

On the other hand, Strauch secured gold medal of 200m breaststroke. She remained nearly three and a half body length ahead of her competitor and stepped on the finishing end for gold medal by clocking a time of 2 minutes and 27.55 seconds.

The champion was chased by Sydney Pickrem, who was comfortably slower from her and tapped the wall for silver medal by producing an effort of 2 minute and 31.09 seconds.

The second best finisher  was traced by Tash Lloyd, who remained 0.28 seconds slower from her former finisher and surfaced on the wall for third position with an effort of 2 minutes and 31.36 seconds.

Fourth position of the race was gained by Jessica Hansen, who was 0.34 seconds away from reaching the podium by clocking an effort of 2 minutes and 31.71 seconds.

Furthermore, the arena appreciated notable efforts of all swimmers in their exclusive events while the position holders were invited on the medal rostrum for awards and accolades at the victory ceremony of the tournament.
