Kareen Kapoor expresses the feeling of being a Begum of Pataudi

She’s the most envied woman in India, courtesy her beauty, her glorious career and the grandeur which comes with the title she’s been recently bestowed upon- that of the Begum of Pataudi. Actress Kareena Kapoor (now Khan) is leading a life, a commoner can only dream of and in an interview to a leading daily, she speaks about how if feels to be a Begum.

“It is more love and respect of the people that I value. What title? I’ve no clue if these titles are recognised anymore. I’m just happy and proud to be a part of a heritage. I also realise that there is a huge responsibility that comes with it. I’m honoured to be a part of the Pataudis. I love them and I’m happy for my association,” says Bebo, when quizzed about the things that come with marrying a Nawab.

Kareena might’ve turned into a princess, that too literally, but she still feels that it’s her career, which has got her the glory. “Whatever I am today is because I am an actor, that comes foremost and I will never forget that,” adds Kareena.

Interestingly, according to Kareena, she isn’t the Begum of Pataudi. “As far as I’m concerned, the Begum of Pataudi will always be my mother-in-law Sharmila Tagore. I love her and hers is the picture I have in my mind and heart when someone says, the Begum of Pataudi,” concludes Kareena.
