Kento Momota thunders as Petr Koukal blunders in 2013 Austrian International Challenge

He overpowered Petr Koukal in a second round match that prolonged to three gruelling sets before ending with concluding figures of 19-21, 21-14 and 21-12.
With this splendid win the Japanese youngster setup his next clash with Niluka Karunaratne of Sri Lanka.
Kento Momota was bit sluggish in the beginning but he did not take much time to gain the required momentum and cruised to a splendid victory.
On the other hand, Petr Koukal failed to end his bad patch throughout this crucial match and bid adieu to this international event.
However, he managed to earn bit admiration by winning the first set. He displayed amazing craft on the court and confounded Kento Momota in the establishing rallies.
The Czech campaigner kept on playing flawless badminton in next couple of rallies and strengthened his grip before the mid-game break.
After the one-minute interval, he lost focus and allowed his challenger to move forward on the points table but then couple of productive rallies helped Petr to finish this set with 21-19 score.
Next game was played in similar manner but result was different as it remained in the favour of Japanese shuttler.
This time Kento Momota did not allow his rival to establish an early lead and kept him under control. He bagged many valuable points in a row and finished first half of the set with a respectable margin on the board.
Latter part of the game also belonged to him as he maintained a significant lead and registered a winning total of 21-14.
The decider proved a dead contest as Kento Momota swept the table with an overwhelming score of 21-12 score.
