Monday, February 25th, 2013 1:35:25 by Ammad KhawajaMixed Doubles pair Chan Yun Lung-Tse Ying Suet of Hong Kong remained invincible also in the final round of Austrian International Challenge and secured top spot on the victory stand on February 23, 2013.
This title match put them against a compatriot duo Lee Chun Hei-Chau Hoi Wah and both couples challenged each other throughout this three-set tussle.
They remained busy on court for 41 minutes before concluding this showdown with final figures of 15-21, 21-16 and 21-16.
Though, Yun Lung and Ying Suet were bit sluggish in the beginning but they managed to gain the required momentum and cruised to victory in the ending two games.
On the other hand, the opposing duo put a below par performance and squandered its first set win. Chun Hei and Hoi Wah displayed great fighting spirit in the first set and bagged that valuable match point.
They laid foundation of their dominance by prevailing in couple of establishing rallies and then made best out of this early advantage.
At the mid-game break, they were in commanding position with a respectable score and this psychological edge helped them to place a winning margin of 21-15.
However, they failed to capitalise this lead in the following game and missed a golden chance of straight-set victory.
This time Yun Lung and Ying Suet did not repeat previous mistakes and established an unassailable lead without any delay.
They ruled the court in next couple of rallies and doubled their total before the announcement of one-minute break. After the interval, both Hong Kong campaigners forged a fruitful chemistry and won this crucial set with 21-16 total.
The decider proved a replay of previous set as Yun Lung and Ying Suet registered an overwhelming figure of 21-16 and claimed the Mixed Doubles crown.
