HP returns to tablet business with Slate 7
Tuesday, February 26th, 2013 6:08:31 by Farasat AliHewlett Packard are not giving up despite financial difficulties. HP are still the world’s largest manufacturer of computers without the shadow of the doubt. However, they face stiff competition from Lenovo, who are fighting to
expand their market.
The American multinational company is planning to launch a new tablet, Slate 7, after the sale of desktop computer has declined on a significant scale as compared to tablets and ultrabooks respectively.
However, this is not the first time since HP are making a tablet. They made ??a landing attempt in the world of tablets barely two years ago. They launched a tablet with the Touchpad, a model that used WebOS, the operating system
they bought from Palm.
Though veteran Silicon Valley firm included it in both mobile and tablet, it never came to Europe and the United States for $ 100. Indeed, the same day LG released the operating system WebOS acquired for use in their next TV.
Focusing on the world of the personal computer, HP joined the ultrabooks, laptops and high performance machines for less than a thousand Euros. With the release of Windows 8, they went a step further and began creating hybrid tablet
and PC and Slate 7 is the first step in this new adventure.
