Parupalli Kashyap ready to deal with challenging draw at All England Open 2013
Thursday, February 28th, 2013 2:29:26 by Muhammad Ahmad NazirIndia’s top male shuttler Parupalli Kashyap is not worried with the fact that he has been handed over a tricky draw in the upcoming All England Open Premier Super Series 2013 which will take place in Manchester from March 5-11.
The World Number 11 Kashyap, who has been showing up in elevated craft at international stage for the last few years, worked really hard in training sessions in the last couple of months and is expected to put up good show at the All England Open.
India’s national coach Pullela Gopichand changed the training of Kashyap and made it intense in order to elevate the fitness of the shuttler. Kashyap also revealed that he has never done such a hard training before and it will surely bear fruit in the All England Open.
In the opening round of the championship, Kashyap is set to face Jen Hao Hsu of Chinese Taipei who has been showing tremendous performance in the recent months.
If the Indian man passes the opening round test, he will be locking horns against Japan’s Kenichi Tago who is one of the most talented shuttlers of the world at the moment.
As stated in www.newsbadminton.com Kashyap said, “It is a challenging draw. I feel if I can get past the initial rounds, I can go much further in the tournament. The Chinese Taipei guy is also good and (Kenichi) Tago is unpredictable, you never know when he will play well.”
Indian shuttler also added that, “Moreover, I have reached a stage in my career, where I can’t be looking at the draw and play. Now the onus is on me, if I can pick my game up on that week, I can beat anybody, doesn’t matter what is his ranking.”
Last year, Kashyap proved his worth on his home soil and won his first ever Grand Prix Gold tournament in front of his home crowd as he claimed Men’s Singles title in Syed Modi International 2012.
Many experts think that Kashyap has got top quality skills and has a wonderful temperament which will help him to compete well against the best shuttlers in the world of badminton.
