Juliane Schenk, who holds third spot in this tournament ranking, laid foundation of her dominance immediately in the opening game.
She did not give her opponent enough time to get settled and confounded her with an intensive attack.
Tzu Ying was not prepared for this blistering knock as she remained grounded in most part of the game. Juliane capitalised her competitor’s blunders and piled up a mountainous figure of 11 before the interval.
After one-minute break, the German shuttler played with even more precision and strengthened her grip over game.

The German campaigner did not give her challenger even a single counterattack opportunity and swept the table with 21-16 margin.
With this splendid straight-set victory, she marched into semi-final round where Sayaka Takahashi of Japan will be waiting for her.
