Lust for power: Shujaat wants to be caretaker PM

Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) Chief, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, said on Wednesday that he should be named as the caretaker prime minister.
He was talking to reporters at the PML-Q central office in Islamabad after hosting reception for Pakistan Kabbadi team.
“You can mention my name,” Hussain said when asked who he considers as the best man for the caretaker PM.
He said that consultations for the caretaker prime minister are continuing and the name will be revealed soon after assemblies are dissolved.
To a question he said that talks between the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and the PML-Q are underway on seat adjustment however the number of seats to be adjusted has not yet been decided.
Commenting on former president Pervez Musharraf’s plans of returning to Pakistan, Hussain said the former ruler has a Pakistani passport and can come back whenever he pleases.
“Musharraf, President Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif are all great leaders,” Hussain added.
When asked if he would go to the airport to welcome Musharraf, he did not reply, but said that journalists will represent him on Musharraf’s arrival.
