Ervin Anthony and Molly Renshaw grab gold medals – British International

Ervin Anthony and Molly Renshaw pocketed gold medals of the Men’s 50m freestyle and Women’s 200m breaststroke respectively at the 2013 British International.

Anthony stayed  a half body length lead over his closest competitor and cruised his way towards the finishing end for gold medal by producing an effort of 22.28 seconds.

The champion was traced by Proud Benjamin, who stayed 0.44 seconds apart and surfaced on the finishing end for silver medal by touching the wall with the timing of 22.72 seconds.

The silver medallist was traced by Jasper Van Mierlo, who remained only an inch behind and finished his race in third place by producing a time of 22.91 seconds.

The bronze medallist was trailed by Kane Haggett, who remained 0.05 seconds slower from his former finisher and clocked an effort of 22.96 seconds for fourth place.

Fifth finest spot of the race was obtained by Bushell Andrew, who stayed 0.07 seconds slower from his former finisher and posted a time of 23.03 seconds.

On the other hand, Renshaw occupied gold medal of the 200m breaststroke. She remained nearly two body lengths ahead of her toughest challenger and posted an effort of 2 minutes and 28.25 seconds.

The champion was chased by Stacey Tadd, who remained 2.28 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and sprinted her way towards the finishing end for silver medal by producing a time of 2 minutes and 30.53 seconds.

The second best finisher was followed by Kerry Buchan, who traced 0.29 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and tapped the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 30.82 seconds for bronze medal.

Fourth spot of the event was gained by Sophie Taylor, who stayed 1.11 seconds apart and settled on the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 31.93 seconds.

Taylor was followed by Georgina Evans, who remained 0.65 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and posted an effort of 2 minutes and 32.58 seconds for fifth place.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades after the conclusion of session.
