Swiss Open 2013: Saina Nehwal sends Petya Nedelcheva packing in Women’s Singles round-of-16

The defending champion Saina, who is the top seed in Women’s Singles main draw of the tournament, displayed her elevated craft in the arena and easily defeated Petya by spending just 30 minutes on court.
Indian shuttler was in smashing form as she did not face any considerable trouble from her lower ranked opponent at any stage and eventually won the battle in straight sets with a completely commanding margin of 21-15 and 21-10.
Bulgarian lady, on the contrary, tried her level best to create trouble for her Indian rival but failed to put up strong show. She committed many unforced errors and ultimately went down without posing even a meagre threat for her rival.
Saina delivered remarkably well from the starting rallies of first set as she played with spectacular speed and took over the control of the game.
The impressive craft and tricky game plan assisted Saina to keeps her rival in all sorts of trouble on court. She progressed with a superb speed in the starting half and remained in complete control until the break.
The underdog Petya failed to play positive game after the one-minute break as she lost her focus in the arena and started to commit errors.
Saina did not reduce the pace of the game at any stage and remarkable grabbed the first set with a reasonable 21-15 score on the board.
Petya was once again in problem in the second set as she faced a hostile treatment from her rival who was at her best in the arena.
Saina displayed her incredible skills on court by taking the bird early from all areas and kept her upper hand over her rival.
In the second half of second game, the lofty Saina continued her comfortable run and easily grabbed the set by a comprehensive difference of 21-10.
In the quarter-final battle, Saina will be up against Chinese Taipei’s Tai Tzu Ying who defeated Japan’s Shizuka Uchida in a breath-taking round-of-16 match with a tight margin.
