Romanian International 2013: Sol Kyu Choi and Hye Rin Kim secured Mixed Doubles title in style

Korea’s spirited shuttlers Sol Kyu Choi and Hye Rin Kim stayed on the right track and they easily secured Mixed Doubles after defeating Turkey’s Ramazan Ozturk and Neslihan Kilic in the final of Li-Ning Romanian International 2013 in Romania, on Sunday, March 17.

The in-form Sol Kyu and Hye Rin were in staggering form as they continued their smashing form in the arena and easily thrashed their Turkish challengers in a completely commanding fashion by taking just 27 minutes on the court time.

Korean couple showed that they have got top quality skills as they played in a dominating manner and did not let their rivals to fight back at any stage in the game. They wrapped up victory in straight sets with a commanding 21-16 and 21-13 score on the board.

Meanwhile, Ramazan and Neslihan were aggressive in the starting game but they failed to maintain their rhythm and eventually went down against their in-form Korean challengers without winning any set.

Sol Kyu and Hye Rin delivered extremely well from the opening points of first set as they played with remarkable speed and took over the charge of rallies.

However, the Turkish players also played with great speed and remained close to their Korean challenger at the opening half. Until the one-minute interval, both sides were close on the board.

However, the Korean couple started to gear up their speed in the concluding half of opening set. They played with great precision and started to build lead.

It was a smooth sailing for the in-form Sol Kyu and Hye Rin who did not face any reasonable resistance from their challengers in the ending points and won the opening game with a comfortable margin of 21-16.

Ramazan and Neslihan were again in trouble in the following set as they received a severe treatment from their Korean opponents who were flawless on court.

The hard to return smashes and net killings kept Sol Kyu and Hye Rin ahead of their Turkish challengers all the way until the end of first half in second set.

Sol Kyu and Hye Rin were quite composed and positive on court in the ending points of second set and they easily bagged the game with a superb 21-13 score on the board.
