David Bowie’s album tops the UK chart

This week, a new album by David Bowie "The Next Day" topped the charts and hence became the best-selling UK album. Last time Bowie hit the top of the list in 1993 with the album "Black Tie White Noise".
During the first week of release, around 94 million copies of his latest album were sold, surpassing the January sales Scottish Biffy Clyro, the achievement they claimed after selling 71,600 copies or discs.
Album "The Next Day" was released March 11, 2013, and the album topped the charts once the online store iTunes in 40 countries around the world. However, Bowie remains in eighth place with respect to the download as Russian iTunes.
Though the singer has not talked to the media after the imminent success of his new album, it is reported that the British icon will start a world tour next month.
Singer and producer, Tony Visconti, categorically denied the possibility of a tour, but Bowie’s wife, supermodel Iman, told reporters that she could not accompany her husband for the world tour.
