Milan Ludik stamps Maximilian Korney in qualifying round of 2013 Polish Open

He cast out Maximilian Korney in a short-lived but hard fought 42-minute tussle which ended with 23-21 and 21-18 margin.
Both contenders challenged each other in all areas of the game but Milan showed better finishing skills and sealed a straight-set victory.
With this splendid win, he setup his next clash with Hubert Paczek and win will take him one step closer to main round.
In his opening match, Milan showed his intentions straight away in the beginning and bagged many valuable points. He relished full benefits of this flow in next couple of rallies and doubled his total in no time.
However, Maximilian did not lose nerve and managed to rise from the dust. He employed an effective counterattack strategy and brought the contest to right balance. Both contenders remained close until the half time.
Latter part of the game also kept swinging between them all the way to final moments and this nerve-racking set ended when Milan tipped the scale in his favour with 23-21 score.
The following game was also filled with lots of sensation as both male shuttlers put all they had to achieve their respective goals.
Initially, Milan enjoyed an upper hand and piled up a mountainous figure without any major trouble.
However, it was not an easy road to victory for him as Maximilian also showed some class in latter part of the game. He ruled the court in couple of uninterrupted rallies and narrowed the gap on points table.
Finally, this cliff-hanging contest ended when Milan registered a concluding total of 21-18 and secured his berth in next round.
