Tilly Gray and Femke Heemskerk pocket gold medals – British International

Tilly Gray and Femke Heemskerk pocketed gold medals of the Women’s 200m butterfly and 200m freestyle respectively at the 2013 British International.

Gray enjoyed a lead of two arm strokes over her closest competitor and surfaced on the finishing end for gold medal by posting a time of 2 minutes and 10.78 seconds.

The first position holder was chased by Elena Sheridan, who was 0.23 seconds away from her preceding swimmer and transpired on the finishing end for silver medal by clocking a time of 2 minutes and 11.01 seconds.

The silver medallist was chased by Alys Thomas, who was 0.62 seconds away from her former finisher and emerged on the finishing end for bronze medal by reporting an effort of 2 minutes and 11.63 seconds.

Fourth best spot of the event was secured by Hannah Miley, who stayed only 0.03 seconds slower and tapped the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 11.66 seconds.

Fifth finest spot of the swim was gained by Georgia Barton, who remained 0.05 seconds slower from her preceding swimmer and touched the wall with an effort of 2 minutes and 11.71 seconds.

On the other hand, Heemskerk secured the title of 200m freestyle. She was only a touch ahead over her toughest challenger and tapped the wall for gold medal with the timing of 1 minute and 58.49 seconds for gold medal.

The champion was chased by Rebecca Turner, who reached the finishing end for silver medal by clocking a time of 1 minute and 58.72 seconds.

The silver medallist was trailed by Eleanor Faulkner, who stayed almost full body length behind and secured the wall for third position by posting an effort of 1 minute and 59.42 seconds.

The third best finisher was gained by Siobhan-Marie O’Connor, who remained 0.61 seconds slower from her foregoing finisher and posted an effort of 2 minutes and 00.03 seconds for fourth place.

Fifth spot of the event was gained by Sharon Van Rouwendaal, who stayed 0.92 seconds apart and finished her race in a time of 2 minutes and 00.95 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals and accolades for their notable efforts after the session.
