Georgia Davies and Ervin Anthony obtain swimming titles – British International

Georgia Davies and Ervin Anthony obtained gold medals of the Women’s 100m backstroke and Men’s 50m freestyle respectively at the 2013 British International.

Davies faced strong competition from her preceding finisher in the final but managed to edge her out over the wall for gold medal with an effort of 1 minute and 00.45 seconds.

She was chased by Lauren Quigley, who stayed only 0.14 seconds slower from her former finisher and secured silver medal of the race by producing a time of 1 minute and 00.59 seconds.

The second best finisher was traced by Jessica Fullalove, who stayed full body length slower from her former finisher and clocked a time of 1 minute and 01.56 seconds for bronze medal.

Fourth finest spot of the race was secured by Elizabeth Simmonds, who was only 0.05 seconds behind and posted a time of 1 minute and 01.61 seconds.

Simmonds was followed by Sharon Van Rouwendaal, who remained nearly half a body length behind and posted an effort of 1 minute and 02.17 seconds for fifth place.

On the other hand, Renshaw secured gold medal of the 50m freestyle. Anthony enjoyed a half body length lead over his closest competitor and cruised his way towards the finishing end for gold medal by producing an effort of 22.28 seconds.

The champion was traced by Proud Benjamin, who remained 0.44 seconds apart and surfaced on the finishing end for silver medal by touching the wall with the timing of 22.72 seconds.

The silver medallist was traced by Jasper Van Mierlo, who stayed only an inch behind and finished his race in third place by producing a time of 22.91 seconds.

The bronze medallist was obtained by Kane Haggett, who stayed 0.05 seconds slower from his former finisher and clocked an effort of 22.96 seconds for fourth place.

Fifth best spot of the race was chased by Bushell Andrew, who stayed 0.07 seconds slower from his former finisher and posted a time of 23.03 seconds.

On the other hand, the position holders received medals and accolades at the victory ceremony of the event.
