Nawaz Sharif vows economic explosion if voted to power

Monday, March 25th, 2013 9:32:34 by

President Pakistan Muslim League PML (N) Nawaz Sharif declared on Monday in a mammoth public rally that he will carry out economic explosion like his 1998 nuclear tests.

He asked the people at the meeting in Mansehra not to be misled by jokers who are in the field to make filmy promises.

“If my party was voted to power I will bring about an economic turn around and construct more motorways in the country,” he said while formally launching the PML-N election drive.

He vowed to resolve the issue of load shedding in the country on priority basis by launching a number of projects with a generation capacity of 50‚000 megawatts electricity.

Nawaz Sharif said military ruler General Retired Musharraf created the energy crisis while PPP led former coalition government further complicated it.

He said Lahore-Hyderabad-Karachi and Hassanabadal-Manshera-Islamabad motorways will be constructed while an airport will also be built in Mansehra.

Nawaz Sharif said if his party is given required mandate steps will be taken for the creation of Hazara province.

He said his two governments were dismissed before completing tenure and was also sent into exile.

“I had not committed any crime to be sent me into exile,” he told the huge crowd.

He lashed out at President Asif Zardari for gifting many problems to the people, saying that the PML-N will resolve the problems.

You mean the same economic explosion that you have done in Punjab in the last 5 years? last time I checked Punjab’s growth rate was less than rest of Pakistan. Its unfortunate that a shallow man like Nawaz Sharif is still considered a leader in Pakistan. For a man to continuously talk about motorways and explosions suggests that he has no clue what Pakistan’s problems are, he is only focused on face-lifting and cosmetic solutions like building buses and roads.

Sure there will be economic explosion this time around, last time during your tenure our foreign exchange accounts were frozen and taken over while you, your family and friends sent money abroad before freezing our accounts. No more. Pakistani people are smart enough to see through you old politicians who are the product of Army Dictators. When would you bring back the money you have stashed in overseas banks. Time has changed and this gimmickry won’t work this time because the young generation is looking for change and change will come.
