Zardari administers oath to caretaker PM

President Asif Ali Zardari administered the oath to Mr Khoso at a ceremony at Presidency.
Political leaders, foreign diplomats, former ministers and senior officials attended the ceremony which started with national anthem. Former Prime Minister, Raja Pervez Ashraf, also attended the ceremony.
President Zardari congratulated the caretaker Prime Minister on assumption of office.
Mir Hazar Khan Khoso was nominated by the Election Commission on Sunday as the caretaker Prime Minister to supervise the May 11 elections.
Presidential Spokesman Farhatullah Babar said that heads of all political parties had been invited to attend the oath-taking ceremony.
Mir Hazar Khan Khoso‚ 84‚ a firmer judge, was born in district Jaffarabad of southwestern Balochistan province.
He is a law graduate and has served as the Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court and Chief Justice of the Federal Shariat Court.
Retired Justice Mir Hazar Khan Khoso also served as Acting Governor Balochistan twice.
He told reporters in Islamabad that the caretaker set up would provide full backing to the Election Commission in ensuring free and fair elections.
He expressed the hope that people with good reputation would return to assemblies as a result of the general elections.
Replying to a question he said there would be 10 to 12 member Federal Cabinet.
The selected Caretaker Prime Minister said he would meet all political parties and elections would be held on time.
About maintenance of law and order during elections‚ he said he would talks to the provinces and ensure that elections are held in a peaceful environment.
