Imran Khan says youth to get 25% tickets
Friday, March 29th, 2013 9:30:08 by Tahir KhanChairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan Friday announced to award 25% tickets to youth of up-to 35 years of age.
Addressing the launching of “Naya Pakistan Fund” in Islamabad‚ Khan said that tickets would be given on merit.
He said the Party would provide financial assistance to educated youth to contest elections through this fund. He said that his party is awarding tickets to people with good reputation.
He said fund will be used transparently and its audit will be carried out by the best audit firm. He appealed to the people in the country and abroad to donate in this fund for making a new Pakistan.
Imran Khan reiterated his position that PTI would not enter into electoral alliance with any party however‚he said that seat adjustments are possible in some constituencies.
Referring to his meeting with caretaker Cheif Minister Punjab Najam Sethi‚ he said he demanded of him only one thing that is free‚ fair and transparent elections.
He said, “we have to wage struggle together to change the destiny of Pakistan.”
Meanwhile,the Central Parliamentary Board of PTI has said it has not finalized the list of candidates to be given the party ticket for the upcoming 2013 general elections.
The CPB met in Islamabad to review the cases of the potential candidates but the final decision regarding the nominees will be made early next week. All applicants for the PTI ticket are requested to submit their Nomination forms with the ECP before the extended deadline of March 31st.
