Imran to contest on five NA seats

Khan will contest elections for five national assembly seats from the constituencies NA-1 (Peshawar-II), NA-56 (Rawalpindi-VII), NA-71 (Mianwali-I), NA-122 (Lahore-V), NA-125 (Lahore-VIII).
PTI has also announced candidates for many seats across the country.
Meanwhile Scrutiny of nomination papers for the National Assembly and provincial assemblies is in full-swing.
The nomination papers of 7‚609 have been scrutinized so far. These included 2‚765 for the National Assemblies and 4‚844 for Provincial Assemblies.
The Election Commission will complete the task till April 7th.
April 10 has been set as the deadline for filing of appeals against decisions of the Returning Officers rejecting or accepting the nomination papers.
The Election Tribunals will decide the appeals by April 17. The candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nominations by April 18.
Final list of contesting candidates will be published on 19th April and polling will be held on May 11.
The Election Commission has so far received 13‚136 nomination papers for the general seats of national and provincial assemblies.
Four thousand six hundred and eight nomination papers have been received for the National Assembly and eight thousand five hundred and twenty eight for four provincial assemblies.
