Kate Godfrey and Nielsen Varoy occupy gold medals – NZ Open Championships

Godfrey enjoyed a lead of one stroke over her following swimmer and cruised her way towards the finishing end for gold medal with an effort of 2 minutes and 17.87 seconds.
The first position holder was trailed by Natasha Lloyd, who stayed 0.22 seconds behind and finished second in the race with an effort of 2 minutes and 18.09 seconds.
The silver medallist was followed by Emily McGill, who stayed 0.40 seconds away from her former finisher and surfaced on the finishing end for bronze medal with an effort of 2 minutes and 18.49 seconds.
Fourth finest position of the event was secured by Helena Gasson, who stayed three and a half body lengths behind and settled on the wall with the timing of 2 minutes and 22.82 seconds.
Fifth spot of the event was secured by Caitlin Rennell, who was nearly 0.80 seconds behind and posted a time of 2 minutes and 23.41 seconds.
On the other hand, Varoy accomplished gold medal of the 50m butterfly. He experienced strong resistance from his following swimmer and hit the finishing end for first position with an effort of 24.49 seconds.
She was followed by Gareth Kean, who stayed 0.18 seconds away from his toughest challenger and surfaced on the wall for silver medal with an effort of 24.67 seconds.
The second fastest swimmer was chased by Paul Benson, who stayed 0.19 seconds away from his former finisher and surfaced on the wall for third position by posting an effort of 24.86 seconds.
Fourth spot of the event was secured by Adam McDonald, who was 0.07 seconds slower and transpired on the finishing end with the timing of 24.93 seconds.
Fifth position of the swim was gained by Ashley Townsend and Kurt Crosland, who engaged each other in a neck-to-neck race for fifth position by clocking a time of 25.22 seconds.
Furthermore, the winners received accolades at the victory ceremony of the tournament.
