This grand finale was staged at the local badminton complex of Sydney and both female contenders remained head-to-head for 45 minutes.
Though, the Japanese campaigner locked the honour in just two games but still it was not an easy win and she had to sweat hard to register winning result of 24-22 and 21-10.
On the other hand, the Thai shuttler also showed great fighting spirit and earned great deal of respect despite of going down in the finale.
The battle heated up straight away in the establishing rallies of first set as both contestants made every effort to gain an immediate advantage. They challenged each other in all departments of game but no one could tip the scale in her favour.
Initially, the seventh seeded Sayaka bagged couple of consecutive points and established her grip over game but then few back-to-back mistakes allowed her competitor to proceed.
Nitchaon Jindapon did not squander this opportunity and clinched few points in a row. The game kept swinging between both shuttlers until half time.
The latter part of game was also played in similar manner as they did not allow each other to enjoy a permanent lead.
However, this nerve-racking tussle reached to climax when the Japanese player registered a tight yet decisive figure of 24-22.
Next game started with couple of gruelling rallies but then it proved a one-sided affair after the mid-game break.
This time Sayaka did not give her rival enough time to get settled and confounded her with an intensive attack immediately after the break.
She maintained a significant difference on the points table and raised hands as champion after putting an overwhelming score of 21-10.
