Lauren Boyle and Matthew Stanley secured gold medals of the Women’s 400m freestyle and Men’s 200m freestyle respectively at the 2013 NZ Open Championships.

she remained prominently ahead of her closest competitor and surfaced on the finishing end for gold medal by producing an effort of 4 minute and 06.39 seconds.

The champion was chased by Samantha Lucie-Smith, who was considerably slower from her foregoing finisher and hit the wall for silver medal with an effort of 4 minutes and 10.79 seconds.

The third position of the race was obtained by Tash Hind, who remained nearly three body lengths slower from her and clocked an effort of 4 minutes and 13.52 seconds.

Fourth best position of the swim was secured by Emma Robinson, who stayed prominently away from her foregoing finisher and surfaced on the finishing end with the timing of 4 minutes and 16.34 seconds.

Fifth best spot of the race was chased by Tabitha Baumann, who was one and a half body length behind and posted a time of 4 minutes and 17.82 seconds.

On the other hand, Stanley occupied gold medal of the 200m freestyle. Stanley faced no competition from his closest competitor and secured top spot on the podium with the timing of 1 minute and 47.13 seconds.

The first position holder was traced by Dylan Dunlop-Barrett, who stayed 2.60 seconds slower and transpired on the finishing end for silver medal by producing an effort of 1 minute and 49.73 seconds.

The silver medallist was followed by Steven Kent, who was almost one body length behind and emerged on the finishing end for third position with the timing of 1 minute and 50.44 seconds.

Fourth position of the event was secured by Matthew Hutchins, who stayed nearly 0.80 seconds slower and ended his swim in a time of 1 minute and 51.28 seconds.

Hutchins was trailed by Nick Gillum, who remained 1.16 seconds apart and made his way to the finishing wall for fifth place by reporting an effort of 1 minute and 52.44 seconds.

In addition, the position holders received medals at the prize ceremony of the event.
