ECP orders KPK IGP’s removal
Friday, April 12th, 2013 4:45:48 by Tahir KhanThe Election Commission of Pakistan has directed caretaker government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to remove Inspector General Police.
Talking to newsmen in Election Commission Secretariat‚ Secretary ECP Ishtiaq Ahmad said on Friday that the Commission is trying to ensure impartiality in all four provinces.
Replying to a question about delaying reports‚ he said ECP is fully prepared to hold election on time.
Meanwhile Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Shaukatullah and Chief Minister Mr. Justice(R) Tariq Pervez called on President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad on Friday and discussed overall situation in the province and Tribal Areas.
They also discussed matters pertaining to free and fair election in the province.
The Governor and Chief Minister apprised the President about preparations being made by the provincial government to ensure holding of free‚ fair and transparent elections.
The Governor also briefed the President on law and order situation in FATA and the measures being taken for holding free and fair elections in tribal areas.
