Imran Khan rejects notion of votes division
Wednesday, April 24th, 2013 2:34:09 by Tahir KhanPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan on Wednesday rejected the notion that he is diving the anti-PPP votes and that this approach can bring President Zardari back into power.
Addressing a press conference in Lahore he said that both PPP and PML(N) were elected a number time‚ but‚ unfortunately they did nothing for the betterment and prosperity of the people during the past twenty seven years.
He said now the masses do not want to see them in power.
A group of 67 former “nazimin” joined PTI at the press conference. Leaders of the group described Imran Khan as a great leader of the country‚ who is striving to build a new Pakistan.
The PTI chairman welcomed their joining and hoped that their joining would make the party stronger.
He said that PPP and PML (N) had not enforced local bodies system and destroyed the national institutions.
Imran Khan said to overcome poverty is major challenge of the country today and his party after winning elections will fully concentrate on this issue.
He said there was need to further improve the local bodies system but both the former ruling parties made alliance against it.
Imran alleged that the previous Punjab government gave bribe to the election representative in the name of development fund.
He said his party will activate overseas Pakistanis to actively take part in the development of the country.
Imran Khan said that tested parties are unable to bring about a change in the country.
He said that there are plenty of resources in Pakistan and we don’t need to borrow money from other countries.
He said that the economic development cannot be possible unless the powers are transferred upto the grass root level.
He said that development work is not the actual job of MNA and MPAs‚ rather their job is legislation and the responsibility of development project goes to the local bodies.
