Bomb blast, clashes leave 8 dead in KPK

A tractor trolley collided with an improvised explosive device (IED) in Parachinar tribal region, a official said.
Three other people were injured who were shifted to a local hospital.
No group claimed responsibility.
Meanwhile, three policemen and four armed were killed in clashes in Karak district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday, police said.
There were conflict reports about the armed men. Some sources said they were suspected militants. Other reports suggested they were members of a local criminal gang.
Violence in Pakistan has increased in Pakistan ahead of the May 11 parliamentary elections, raising serious concerns about the peaceful polls.
The Interior Ministry had warned of attacks by the Taliban and two other banned extremist groups.
Taliban had asked the people to stay away from the meetings of three parties – Pakistan Peoples Party, Mutahida Qaumi Movement and Awami National Party, who had been partners in 2008-2013 coalition.
These parties had supported the security forces against the Taliban.
