Imran Khan supports more provinces
Saturday, April 27th, 2013 2:30:47 by Tahir KhanChairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, has supported creation of more provinces as the country needs new provinces.
Addressing a public meeting in Bahawalpur on Saturday‚ Khan however said the decision about new provinces must be taken with great care. He promised thousands of people that PTI will create new provinces if his party was elected to power.
Criticizing the PML-N and PPP he said the two parties ruled Pakistan for years but they have failed to produce a single leader for the last twenty-five years.
“The PTI has the credit to award 35 percent tickets to the younger leaders,” he claimed.
He announced that he would make Pakistan stronger where the powerful and weak would get justice on equal level. He said that his party would make a new Pakistan according to the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.
Tehreek-e-Insaf is a democratic party and it has introduced democracy within its ranks, adding that intra-party elections were held at lower-level to provide opportunity to everyone to hold party offices.
He again challenged the PML-N chief, Nawaz Sharif again to a live TV debate, and said Sharif should not fear the confrontation if he is a true leader.
The PTI chairman went on to say that he would like to ask the PML-N head, if there is a TV debate, why his party – despite ruling Punjab for five years – failed to restructure the police force, bring the local government system and produce energy for the province.
The PTI chairman and his arch rival PML-N leaders have focused on Punjab and both are accusing each other during speeches.
Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi, former Nawab of the Bahawalpur, also addressed the public meeting.
Khan has defied the Election Commission and continued his personal attacks on Sharifs.
