Suicide bombing kills two in Bannu
Wednesday, May 8th, 2013 8:19:08 by Tahir KhanA suicide bomber on Wednesday rammed his explosive-laden vehicle into a police station in Bannu and killed at least two people, police said.
A police officer said that nearly 15 other people were also injured in the attack in Domail police station.
The attacked caused damage to parts of the police station and seven nearby houses, witnesses said.
Hospital sources said that a woman was among those died in the early morning attack. They said that six police men were also injured.
No group claimed responsibility. The authorities blame Taliban for such attacks.
Meanwhile a bomb exploded near the office of a political party in Peshawar, police said.
No one was injured as the office was closed at the time of the blast. The blast caused partial damage to the office of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf.
Pre-election has increased in the country in recent weeks.
Nearly 20 people were killed and dozens other were injured in bomb attacks on political gathering in the northwest on Tuesday.
In Balochistan, a rocket was fired on a security forces’ check post. The rocket did not hurt anyone.
