Imran Khan to recover in two weeks: Doctors
Friday, May 10th, 2013 8:26:54 by Tahir KhanPakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was again examined by the team of doctors on Friday at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre at Lahore.
“The doctors have been pleasantly surprised by the rapidity of Imran’s recovery so far, which they attribute in no small measure to his excellent physical condition and tremendous willpower,” said a statement issued here by PTI central media cell.
“As previously stated, Imran Khan is expected to make a full and complete recovery from his recent accident. We are delighted to be able to inform everyone that the doctors have advised that he will be back on his feet within the next two weeks,” the statement added.
Imran Khan Tuesday sustained serious injuries on his head and back after falling from a lifter during climbing up the stage installed for an election rally in Lahore.
He has been receiving treatment at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer and addressed his thousands of supporters via video link late Thursday.
Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) chief Nawaz Sharif had issued sympathetic statement to Imran Khan.
Chief Election Commissioner Justice (retd) Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim, and other leaders also showed sympathy towards the PTI chief and prayed for his well being.
The PTI chief thanked the people and the leaders for sympathies.
