PTI, JI, Sherpao party, Swabi group to form KPK gov’t

Jamaat-e-Islami chief, Syed Munawar Hasan, Wednesday said that his party has reached agreement with the Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf to form govt in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Aftab Sherpao’s Qaumi Watan Party and Swabi’s Awami Jamhoori Ittehad, have also decided to join the government, the Jamaat chief told reporters after visiting Imran Khan at hospital in Lahore.
He said that Jamaat will get ministries of Finance, Education and Ushar-Zakaat. He also said that the PTI mandate is very clear and it should be accepted.
The Chief Minister will be from the PTI, the Jamaat spokesman, Israrullah advocate said Wednesday.
He said the agreement reached during the Tuesday’s talks which continued till late night. He said the four parties are likely to hold a joint press conference on Thursday.
PTI had emerged as the single largest party with 35 seats and now the coalition enjoys support of 51 seats in the 99 general seats in the KPK assembly.
JUI-F, which has previously refused to accept the PTI mandate, has now decided to sit on the opposition seats.
PTI has not yet decided as to who will leaded the KPK. Pervez Khattak’s name was previously emerged as a strong candidate for the post. However, later the party’s provincial chief, Asad Qaisar was also reportedly joined the race.
The party leaders were scheduled to meet Imran Khan in Lahore on Wednesday to take a final decision.
