Nawaz Sharif meets President Zardari at ‘Aiwan-e-Sadr’

Thanks to the visiting Chinese Premier as luncheon in his honour paved the way for an informal meeting between Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari.

Nawaz Sharif was among the senior political leaders who attended the luncheon at ‘Aiwan-e-Sadr”.

Both the leaders, who had a one-on-one meeting, discussed political situation and cooperation, sources said.

It was the first meeting between Sharif and Zardari after a long time that happened just two days after Zardari congratulated Sharif on his party’s election victory.

The meeting occurred just days ahead of the handover of power to the PML-N.

President Zardari will administer the oath to Mr Sharif to become Pakistan’s first leader to serve as Prime Minister for third time.

Sharif already said that he will take oath from President Zardari, a stand totally different than Imran Khan, who had stated earlier that he would not take oath from Zardari even if he is elected Prime Minister.

Zaradi reportedly offered his services to solve the problems faced by the new government and promised Sharif that he will continue to co-operate with the new government.
