Chinese Premier invites Nawaz Sharif to visit China

Prime Minister-in-waiting Nawaz Sharif Thursday met Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in Islamabad and discussed bilateral matters.

Both the leaders held in-depth discussion on the ways to further strengthen existing bilateral and strategic relations in various fields.

The Chinese Prime Minister congratulated Mian Nawaz Sharif on the success of his party in the general elections and hoped it will help further strengthen democracy in the country.

The Chinese Premier also invited Mr Sharif to visit China.

Nawaz Sharif sought Chinese help in overcome energy crisis in Pakistan.

PML N leaders Mian Shahbaz Sharif‚ Chaurdy Nisar Ali Khan and Senator Ishaq Dar were also present on the occasion.

Earlier‚ services chiefs including chairman joint Chiefs of Committee also called on the Chinese Prime Minister and discussed various matters relating to Defence cooperation between the two countries.
