Tax-free KPK budget amounting to Rs 344 billion announced

The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa provincial government has proposed an increase of 15 percent in the salaries and pension of government employees.

 

A balanced and tax-free budget of KPK for the fiscal year 2013-14 amounting to 344 billion rupees was presented in Provincial Assembly on Monday.

 

The Provincial Senior Minister and Minister for Finance Sirajul Haq presented the budget in the House.

 

The ADP comprises a total of 983 project schemes including 609 ongoing and 374 new projects.

 

The province will receive a total revenue of 198 billion and 27 crore rupees approximately from the federal taxes.

 

The total ADP has been estimated to 118 billion rupees showing an increase of 08 percent.

 

The province will also receive over 23 billion and 8 million rupees in the war against terrorism which is 8 per cent more than the previous year.

 

 

The provincial government has proposed an increase of 15 per cent in the salaries and pension of government employees whereas the minimum limit of the retired employees pension has been increased from 3000 to 5000.

 

He promised a ruthless accountability of the corrupt officials.
