PM directs agencies to curb terrorism
Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013 10:21:31 by Tahir KhanPrime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has constituted a task force to maintain law and order in Balochistan.
Addressing a high level meeting in Quetta on Tuesday evening‚ he directed all the security agencies to ensure close coordination to curb terrorism.
He said the federal government will extend all possible assistance to the provincial government in this regard. The prime minister also directed the law-enforcement agencies to arrest all those involved in carnage in Hazara town.
Talking to a delegation of Hazara community in Quetta‚ the prime minister said important decisions have been made to deal with the terrorism. He said he has directed all the concerned agencies to bring the culprits of Hazara Town tragedy to book. He said every possible protection will be provided to the Hazara community.
The Prime Minister said that restoration of peace is the top priority of the government.
Later talking to newsmen‚ the prime minister said the police forces will be reconstituted on modern lines and the best officers will be posted in the province to maintain law and order.
He said the police force will be purged off black sheep.
The prime minister said Balochistan has been facing unrest for some time. Tragedies like Ziarat Residency‚ Women’s University‚ Bolan Medical Complex and Hazara Town are unacceptable.
Nawaz Sharif said he has directed all the agencies to extend full cooperation to the provincial government to maintain law and order.
