Afghan Taliban claim killing 61 troops in suicide attack

“Latest information arriving from Tarinkot city say that the martyrdom strike against enemy forces on late Friday has killed and wounded as many as 61 enemy personnel,” Taliban spokesman, Qari Yousaf said.
The attack carried out by Taliban Bashir Ahmad from Kandahar province, who was wearing an explosives’ vest, hit the enemy launch gathering, collapsing the whole dining hall as well as killing and wounding 61 security men.
Officials say that the dead include close associate commanders as well as deputies of provincial police chief (Matiullah) namely the his first deputy Muhammadzai Takar, Maido the coordinator of all raids, Commander Isa Muhammad the financier of HQ, Commander Rahmatullah who escorted enemy in raids, Commander Saat Muhammad and others.
Similarly, the wounded include the brother of the police chief Safi’ullah, Commander Dastager, Gul Agha and several others.
There was no official confirmation of the Taliban claim.
