Ex-PM Gilani’s wife, sons accounts details submitted in court
Saturday, July 13th, 2013 1:12:49 by Tahir KhanDetails of accounts of Fouzia Gilani‚ the wife of former Prime Minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani, and his son Abdul Qadir Gilani and Ali Musa Gilani were submitted in the court in the Ephedrine quota case.
However‚ Makhdoom Shahabuddin, former minister, did not submit details of his assets.
Anti-Narcotics Court Rawalpindi also ordered to freeze the assets of former Secretary Health‚ Khushnood Lashari, who was also involved in the case.
Judge Arshad Mehmood adjourned the hearing of Ephedrine quota case till July 30th.
Khushnood Akhtar Lashari’s houses in Lahore and Islamabad will be seized after Lashari failed to provide details of his assets to the court as was ordered on July 6.
Pharmaceutical Director Col (retd) Tahirul Wadood Lahoti, chief executive of Berlex Lab International Multan Iftikhar Khan Babar, and Director Rizwan Ahmed Khan’s properties will also be seized based on the same failure to submit answers to the court.
Fouzia Gilani and her sons claimed that the money shown has not been made through the sale of ephedrine but was made through personal means.
The court on July 6 had issued notices to 15 accused in the ephedrine case including ex-prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, his wife Fouzia Gilani and son Ali Musa Gilani to inform the court in writing about their source of income.
