KPK CM to lead anti-load-shedding rally on Monday
Sunday, July 14th, 2013 11:17:15 by Tahir KhanChief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pervez Khattak, will lead a rally in Peshawar on Monday to protest against the long power outage in the province, provincial assembly members said on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference in Peshawar, Pakistan Tehreek Insaf MPAs described the load-shedding as a conspiracy against their government.
They demanded immediate removal of Chief Executive PEPCO. They called upon the federal gov’t to resolve the issue by 10 a.m. on Monday.
They claimed that efforts are being made to defame the PTI govt through load-shedding.
Meanwhile the National Transmission and Despatch Company says that the power generation attained its peak of 15‚100 megawatts during iftar timings.
A spokesman of the company said that it was the highest figure in the last few years.
