The post-withdrawal Afghanistan scenario‚ engagements with Taliban and other militant groups and measures to curb terrorism from the region will also come under discussion.
The two leaders will also address a joint press stakeout in the evening.
Hague arrived in Pakistan just two weeks after the visit to the country by British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Mr. Cameron his visit had promised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif that Britain will ‘stand together’ with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.
The British Prime Minister had also urged Pakistan to co-operate in creating a stable Afghanistan as a stable, prosperous, peaceful and democratic Afghanistan is in Pakistan’s interest.
Nawaz Sharif had assured the British Prime Minister that Pakistan will work together with President Hamid Karzai and Britain towards peace in Afghanistan.
Afghanistan will be one of the important issues to be discussed during Hague’s visit as both countries had drawn a six-month programme to promote reconciliation in Afghanistan in a trilateral summit in London in February. President Karzai had also attended the London’s trilateral summit.
