All is set for presidential elections

There is one on one contest between Pakistan Muslim League (N) candidate Mamnoon Hussain and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) candidate Wajhiuddin Ahmad after a boycott Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
The Electoral College of the Presidential election consists of Senate‚ National Assembly and the four provincial assemblies.
The election will be held through secret ballot and polling for it will begin simultaneously at the parliament house and the four provincial assemblies.
The Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court will preside over the polling process at the parliament house while the chief justices of the four provinces have been nominated to preside over the process in the provincial assemblies.
The legislators have been directed by the election commission not to carry mobile phones or any other electronic device during the voting process.
The ballot papers and other related material have already been sent to Parliament House in Islamabad and provincial assemblies of Sindh‚ Balochistan‚ Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Chief Election Commissioner Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim has asked the parliamentarians to ensure secrecy of ballot paper while casting vote in the presidential election.
A spokesman of the Election Commission said that the election will be held through secret ballot.
He instructed the Parliamentarians to correctly mark the name of the concerned candidate in the ballot paper.
The spokesman said the legislators cannot carry mobile phones or any other electronic device through which picture of the ballot paper could be taken in the premises during the voting process.
