Jamaat: Egyptian military killing people on behest of US, Israel
Sunday, August 18th, 2013 10:31:44 by Tahir KhanJamaat-e-Islami Sunday staged big demonstrations in Islamabad and Karachi to condemn killing of innocent people by the Egyptian military dictators.
Jamaat chief, Syed Munawar Hasan told a largely-attended demonstrations in Islamabad that Egyptian general is killing members of the Muslim Brotherhood on the dictations from Israel and the United States.
He said the US and the West are trying to push Islamic movements to the walls however their conspiracies will not succeed because of the people’s support to the movements.
He said brutalities in Egypt has created civil war like situation in Egypt and the military dictators are responsible for the situation.
He said the Egyptian military chief to teach lesson from the fate of the Libyan leader Qaddafi when the people ousted him from power and the whole world saw what happened to him.
Hasan said the people of Egypt had elected President Mosri for five years but the so-called champions of democracy and human rights are now silent spectators over the brutalities and dismissal of the elected government.
Thousands of people including women and children took part in the rally at Islamabad’s Aabpara square. They were holding portraits of ousted President Morsi and were chanting slogans against the Egyptian military and the US.
Former Foreign Minister and leader of the opposition Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf party, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, also condemned the killing of people in Egypt and demanded restoration of Morsi government.
He said the government and all other political parties are united to condemn killing of civilians by the Egyptian dictators.
Jamaat also staged rallies in Karachi and several other cities.
Addressing the rally in Karachi, deputy Jamaat chief, Liaquat Baloch, asked Saudi Arabia to play its role for solution to the crisis in Karachi and that King Abdullah should not support teh Egyptian military.
