JUI-F, PTI continue verbal attacks
Friday, August 30th, 2013 4:39:02 by Tahir KhanJamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) and PTI of Imran Khan Friday continued verbal attacks on each other.
This time Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman said PTI gov’t in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is now just a matter of a month or two and that there is no need to move a no-confidence motion against Pervez Khattak.
PTI’s health minister, Shaukat Yousafzai, says Fazal must be taken for medical test. He also said Fazal’s wishes will never be accomplished.
Fazal said if the PTI was allowed to rule K-P-K for another month or two, the province might not be a part of Pakistan as it is pursuing policy of other countries.
Fazal and Imran Khan had earlier accused each other of pursuing objectives of Jews.
Talking to reporters the JUI-F chief also talked about the possible talks between the Taliban and the government. He claimed the PML-N government and the security agencies are now on the same page to hold talks with the Taliban. He said JUI-F is ready to extend support for the purpose.
“There are strong chances that the negotiation process might start in one month,” Fazl said a day after he met Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Sources said that he offered his services to facilitate talks between the government and Taliban.
Fazal was suggested as one of the guarantors by the TTP when they offered dialogue to the former PPP govt in February.
He had welcomed the TTP offer and described it as a step in the right direction, adding he wanted to help since no substantial developments were made on the matter since the TTP’s offer.
